The Distillery Restaurants Corp., creators of Cluny Bistro, El Catrin, Pure Spirits Oyster House & Grill, Madrina Bar y Tapas, District Pizza and Distillery Events are seeking experienced and outgoing Baristas with a passion for creating an exceptionally crafted beverage and memorable service experience for every guest. The ideal candidate not only understands that exceptional guest service is at the heart of hospitality but that they are an ambassador to Toronto's unique food and beverage culture.
You’ll be joining us in our newest restaurant venture, Jardin Kitchen & Juice Bar – selling beautifully crafted coffees, smoothies, power bowls, and so much more! We are looking for true leaders who are ready to make their mark on the brand as well as the team. If you enjoy teaching/training others, creating and maintaining SOPs and understand the importance of quality and consistency – we would love to talk to you!

What you'll be doing:
- Warmly greet and interact with all guests in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Provide expert knowledge on our menu, and assist our guests with recommendations.
- Take orders accurately, noting any allergies and preferences.
- Create beautiful beverages for our guests.
- Maintain a balanced cash register.
- Complete daily and weekly checklist tasks that are assigned to you.
- Achieve guest and service objectives set by Jardin and The DRC.
- Set up the cafe and maintain stock throughout your shift to ensure the success of your co-workers.
- Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the work environment, including guest washroom checks.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines in place by your management and venue.
- Have an understanding of and commitment to the mission and values of The DRC.
- Fulfill other duties as required by the company.
What you'll bring to the café:
- LOVE. For guest service, coffee and tea!
- EXPERIENCE. You have experience as a professional Barista in the specialty coffee industry is a requirement. You’ve been passionate about all things coffee for several years now, and you’re comfortable in a leadership role amongst your team.
- GENUINE WARMTH. You’re someone who demonstrates excellent serving standards and builds lasting relationships with our guests.
- EDUCATION. You may have studied nutrition and/or you have a solid understanding of the gluten-free diet, vegetarianism, and veganism.
- A POS Wiz. You’ve used a Point-of-Sale system in the past. We use Silverware, but that doesn’t need to be the system you’re familiar with!
